NEW YARNS & CLUBS (May 18, 2012 10:48am) |

We have some super new yarns here at Violet Green: a soft, lofty and lustrous Bluefaced Leicester sock yarn, 'Beth', and a new Pure Merino 2ply lace yarn; if any of you remember our Plato lace yarn, it is the same as that, a lovely lofty, soft yarn, but now with a superwash finish, so very easy to care for.
New Clubs: this season is so great for dyeing and drying yarn; we love dyeing and drying our yarn in the sunshine and summer breezes, so we have decided to run a couple of additional summer yarn-only clubs (no pattern). And to adapt to the new postage pricing format, which is the same rate for all packages upto 750g, we are offering a four month sock yarn club and a four month lace yarn club, each of which will consist of two skeins of the same base yarn for each of June, July, August and September. For the sock yarn club, one skein will be multi-coloured and the other skein a complementary semi-solid colour, while for the lace yarn club, both skeins will be the same colourway. A discount of £8.80 is selectable from the lace club product for anyone who already belongs to one of our sock clubs (including if you join this new sock yarn club). This will reflect the postage savings that we will make by combining your orders.
We are also currently taking orders for our blanket club for a July start; here is where we are up to so far, not so much to catch up with! ;) The blanket will have a centre square, of course, plus another complete circuit of squares: 49 squares in total. The prototype finished blanket is sat in front of me here and it is very pleasing! I really hope club members will enjoy it as much as I do!
 Plus our Alice in Wonderland cushion/blanket is now available as a pattern booklet.

... and so, finally, we have set up a twitter news account, so that we can send out small news items, more frequently. We will be sending out short term sales offers and discounts via twitter, which will be visible on our front page even if you don't have a twitter account.
